I fit the usual cliché of having a sporting background from school and I’ve been working in health and fitness since 2002. Helping people achieve their goals is my passion.
Having worked in a variety of gym environments, from commercial clubs to corporate facilities, I have found that when we don't see or feel results from our fitness routines, we become less likely to continue, or just become complacent. For me, theere is no greater feeling than seeing the excitement or joy that comes from my clients, when they are getting results, or become excited by my encouraging words of wisdom.
I like to train with people with all types of health and fitness goals. I'm a firm believer of setting a target, but having fun getting there.
As well as personal training, I also provide holistic massage and sports massage, a great way to either enhance your fitness training experience, or help aid injury recovery and stress relief.
I have a sporting background in judo, hockey and skiing, but there have been times, like many of us, when I have struggled to control my weight and I have lost self confidence and motivation. Working with Gareth has helped me to get back to peak fitness and qualify as a personal trainer: something I couldn’t have dreamed of doing two years ago. I want to use the benefit of my life experiences to help others achieve their health and fitness goals. As a more mature trainer with life experience and lots of empathy I am particularly interested in helping clients to achieve their weight loss goals as well as working with clients who have, or who may be at risk of developing, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, diabetes.
